Anyone that can recommend a flyfishing trip to Canada, close to Wyoming for a week or so for northern pike. Im hoping to not spend more than 1500 a person. Im thinking Saskatchewan most likely but open to other providences. Thanks

Esox; check northern Saskatchewan, or the NWT out of Yellowknife. It has been years since I fished anywhere outside of my "farm" on the North Saskatchewan River so I do not have any referrals. Th fishing on the irrigation reservoirs in the EID (eastern Irrigation District) used to be grand but it has been decades sine I fished there. I think Ingwe heads up this way to fish hopefully he will chime in, or some of the other western Canadian folks with recent experiences.

Alexander’s on Rowan is above Minnesota. I’ve fished there. Plus I know the owners personally. Very good fishing. I caught smallmouth and pike fly fishing. Tried to catch muskie on fly rod but was unsuccessful. Did catch a muskie bumping 50” on a big crankbait.

Send him a PM. Yep! Im headed up to Northern Alberta the first of the month. Fly in from Ft. McMurray To Gypsy lake. Pike only. Catch and Release only...but you catch so many you're sick of looking at them...and have done great there with a fly rod on many occasions. Google Gypsy Lake Lodge...excellent all the way around! Try this: https://gypsylakelodge.com

Tough to access drive in quality fly fishing for pike for $1500 a person. Usually good quality pike fly in only and about $2500 plus a person plus long drive

Northern Saskatchewan is where I'd go. BTW, it's province, not providence, not that it matters, but Canadians will make fun of you if you call their home province a providence.

Esox, you may want to try Lake of the Woods, either on the Minnesota side of the border or the Ontario. Fished there a couple of weeks ago, lots of pike and also Muskie...they would give you a good run for your money on a fly rod.
