Who could have a feeding issue with a single shot-right? I acquired a 45-70 No 1 recently and am having a relatively minor issue when loading a round in chamber. When the lever is dropped completely, the extractor seems to stop the round from seating completely. I have to move the lever a bit and push the round all the way into the chamber. I had another 45-70 and don't recall anything like that. Would this be an issue with the ejector/extractor adjustment screw under the forearm? It shoots well and extracts (not ejects) fine but I plan to use the rifle for Iowa deer this Fall. Something isn't right. Thanks, Bruce

I knew I could count on you...think I got it figured out. Turned the ejector screw in a bit and have it ejecting rather than extracting. Works better now. smile
