Curious about these two powders in .300 win mag. Will primarily be loading 165 - 200gr. boolits for Elk and Mulies.
I have a new place to shoot that will give me more flexibility for range time and extended distances so working on load development will be much easier.
Would like to hear your experiences / results / likes / dislikes you have had with either or.

I’m a fan of H1000
I’m currently using 215 Berger’s but have tried 190, 200 and 230’s
My 300 likes 215’s the best

never used the other.... H 1000 works so darn well, never see a good reason to try something else...
tried a lot of powders before H 1000.... but for heavy bullets 180 to 220... it ruled the roost..
my usual load for the 300 Win is an over book charge of H 1000 and a 220 grain RN or 220 grain SMP Partition.
running it at 300 Weatherby speeds...
safe in my rifles, but like I did, people need to work up to make sure it'll be fine in theirs
flat shooting and awfully darn accurate...

I ventured out and tried 7977 in my 7 Rem Mag. Very impressive stuff. Best accuracy I've ever seen out of that gun.

Sounds like H1000 has worked pretty well and IMR 7977 too so guess I'll see which one is available at he local supplier and go from there. Only problem, if both are available then my bill would probably be double!
