Looks like Tred had some sort of auto accident after leaving Alaska with his truck and trailer, and passed. Not too many details available, but Tred was a friend that I’ve fished with or against many times over the years. Some didn’t like his bravado, and he definitely rubbed some the wrong way, but he always did it his way, the hard way, even as a quadriplegic. His last trip was taking a truck and modified trailer to go see Alaska, on his own. He definitely had his struggles on the trip, and found he could not afford to stay and live there, so he decided to leave in the last week, heading south back to the lower 48 where he apparently wrecked his truck and passed. Hope his fishing and hunting is great wherever he winds up. RIP Tred.

I remember an episode where he was trying to shoot geese with a bow. Cutaway to the guide trying to not laugh his ass off, looked like he was about to explode. The guy had a sense of humor, I liked that.

Heck of a man. Sorry to hear of this and the misery he had to deal with. May he rest in peace.

I fished with him on the klutina river in July. He was a cranky miserable prick. Everyone there avoided him.

Heard he had incurable cancer of some kind. Quite a tracked wheelchair he had.

This, almost unreal for a physical guy.

Met him back in the 90's at an archery bear camp in Ontario.

Someone else packed his hunting clothes for the trip, he had a hell of a time finding what he wanted to wear.

We nicknamed him "Ten Bears".......

Remember a show he was trying to kill a Grizzly with a bow and arrows he handmade.

Liked his show and was sad when he had his stroke and the show soon ended.

I don't want to be a jerk but why, and how was he driving if he was a quadriplegic?

He weren't quad, his arms worked. He had a serious truck , with chair lift and all the chit. Major bucks.

He seemed like a bit of prick. But if you overlooked that he accomplished alot of things that many can only dream of.I would occasional read his facebook posts. More so recently about his Alaska trip. Last few posts did not seem as if he was in a very good place mentally. Honestly thought he was gonna suck on a 12 gauge soon. Hope he has found the peace and a home he deserves.
