Does anyone have any experience with it? I settled on the 95gr Ballistic Tip for my .243 thanks to recommendations here but have a chance to pick up several boxes at only $14 per box of 20 rounds. Is it worth it for "second choice" or should I pass?

Its made by Winchester for what that's worth. $14 is not a bad price overall and a good one for Browning branded ammo. If you don't reload and this is what you have decided on for your hunting load I would probably buy a few boxes as prices are likely to go up in the future. As for personal experiences,

I have not bought any as it costs significantly more than other options with no actual or perceived difference from what I have seen. I've shot various Browning ammo at demonstrations and have yet to see anything to change my opinion.

I've had very good accuracy from my Remington .243 rifle shooting this exact ammo. Stock up!

This featured 95 grain bullet is very fast and hits hard when the chest organs are struck from a broadside angle. An outstanding choice for deer sized animals. I can also praise it's flat trajectory.

Not the .243 load but I have an absolutely massive statistical sample of two deer killed with the 129gr 6.5 Creedmoor Browning BXR load. Both DRT in rather impressive fashion.

But a lot of bullets will do that if put in the right place. And my favorite deer rifle isn’t picky, and shoots lots of bullets well.

If you shoot factory ammo on deer, I wouldn’t hesitate to stock up if your rifle likes it. It’ll do the job in grand fashion. Hell, you may not ever need to shoot deer with anything else if you score enough of it.

My rifle likes it just fine and I’d be more than happy to use it on any deer hunt with complete confidence. That really isn’t like me, though, to use just one bullet. :-)

What could be a sadder way to end a life than to die having never hunted with great dogs, good friends and your family?
