Why do so many posters on here say "shots" when they mean "shoots". I have never understood this.

Or ‘where’ when it should be ‘were’!!

If school was attended during the forty/fifty era years there wouldn’t be a problem but after those years there’s no such thing as a ‘slam dunk’ regarding usage thereof!

I see this quite a bit...

Sell / Sale:

"For Sell - _____", instead of, "For sale - _____", / "Decided to sale my _____ " instead of, "....... sell my _____".

With so many threads here it may take a while to find an example. I saw one just prior to making this posting but that was yesterday.

leaving out the "from" when saying that someone graduated from some level of education (that obviously had very weak English requirements)

I love these threads as I think it impolite to correct someone's word and grammar usage in a thread. Threads like this open the door to do so.

First, "then" and "than" do not mean the same thing.
Their, there and they're mean completely different things.
Two, to and too, well, see the above sentences.

The list goes on and on. I'll just ad one more. For the sake of all that is holy, please, PLEASE, somebody tell me, how can you go through your whole life speaking the contractions for the words/phrases "should have", "could have", would have", etc. and not know the contraction you were speaking?!?! I understand so many of us here try to out huckleberry one another on a regular basis. That can be denoted by "shoulda", "coulda" and "woulda" just like "me and a pard". However, when you type "should of", "could of" and "would of", you clearly don't know you are saying the contractions "should've", "could've" and "would've".

I no I could of bin more taktful then the weigh I did it hear, butt I two am guilty of these things by accident or auto correct. Weather you agree or not, there better things for me to worry about.

Yes, I now feel better.
