A few months ago I purchased an old Remington 760 in 30-06. It was in the "very" used gun rack at a local shop. Today I decided to strip it down as it was very dirty, otherwise it's in pretty good shape for it's age. That's when I discovered that it is missing both the firing pin & retaining pin. That explains why it came apart so easily.
I was looking for a project so I'm not complaining.

First question is, does anyone here happen to have any 760 parts they would 'part' with?
Does anyone know if the firing pins are interchangeable from old model to new?
Was there a firing pin spring on the old models?

Numrich stamatics don’t show a spring. And the firing pin and pin are available.
