Big fan of Sowell's. I started reading his books and articles back in the 1980s. A true intellectual.

What happened in the 1960s was that Cultural Marxism started to actually affect social policy in Western nations. Its proponents had been working at undermining the basis of Western society/civilization since they escaped Germany, Italy, and Spain (where they were seeking to do the same up to the rise to power of Hitler, Mussolini, and Franco, who shut them down).

He and Walter Williams are two Black people who I enjoy listening to. They "get it."

The Frankfurt School ; on Wikipedia [one page read] is a great bit of info. , read it and read about the people behind it and you'll start to see a pattern .

Such a telling example, he gave, of the self serve restaurants that thrived for 70 years in American, and then in the 1960s they had to all go out of business, because (due to dramatic increases in dishonesty) they could no longer make a profit. Too many people would lie about what they ate in order to pay less.

What an amazing thing it must have been when the overwhelming percentage of Americans took it for granted that you had to be honest. No enforcement was needed for 99.9% of people. You didn't need many police for that reason, since most people were honest, didn't engage in criminal violence, didn't destroy property, etc..

At 6:08 on the video ; London 1954 12 armed robberies that year at a time when anybody could buy a shotgun with no questions asked , two decades later - 1400+ robberies per year most restrictive gun control laws in the world . Maybe some cherry picking there but the change was fast .
When the media steered things from Roy Rogers to starsky and hutch showing how cool huggy bear was -- down the drain things went .
Every young person I've met around here is into rap and acting gangsa they are fed that crap from birth - so what are we to expect .

A law abiding citizen armed society is a polite society.
Unfortunately those of us that think that way are out numbered by the sheep in society.

Constitutional carry needs to be the accepted law of the land.
