I just came by an old LC Smith 12 ga SXS that has been refurbished cosmetically but only one barrel will fire. It’s a double trigger and the rear trigger/hammer linkage doesn’t work. My Gunsmith retired and we are left with wannabes who think assembling black rifles is the epitome of of the trade.
I could send the receiver and stock assembly out of state for the repair if I could be confident in the ‘smith’s competency, but it seems that Ft Worth should surely have a good Gunsmith.
Though it was made in 1918 it shows very little use so I doubt any parts other than springs will be required.

I believe Elk Castle was bought out. Don't recall the new name, but it's still there. I called them about six weeks ago looking for some AA2700, and the guy I talked to made it sound as though their powder selection is pretty slim. Did not ask about gunsmithing services.

It was Ewell & Ewell, bought out and now is Elk Castle I stand corrected Intrepid Shooting SportsThat sucks, I really liked the gunsmith there, he was always happy to sit and chat Auto-5's with me
