Sitting at the camp by myself with a struggling fire and just realized...I sure would like some fried oysters. You know, those crispy, light, almost raw inside ones?

They's some good schitt.

My mom used to dip them in egg and roll in cracker meal and fry them.

Was out at Ocracoke a few weeks ago on the Atlantic coast. I had fried oysters every evening for dinner. There's several restaurants out there that served them and I tried them all.

I also found a restaurant on Cedar Key, Florida that made excellent fried oysters,....served up a big basket of them for just a few bucks.

Rolled in yellow cornmeal and dropped in sizzling crisco a couple of min until they first start turning more brown and eat them crispy on the outside and juicy soft on the inside. Tarter sauce or Dukes mayo.

I love raw oysters, but won't eat 'em. It's like fishing in lightning.

Love ‘em fried or raw. Best fried oysters I’ve ever had would be a toss up between some Ihad on Hatteras a long time ago and some I had in Cavite City a longer time ago. Best raw I’ve had in a long time were at Mansur’s in Baton Rougue a year ago February.
