Sorry to rain on the parade and add some reason to this thread, but former Presidents usually make mid to high six figures for any speech he gives.
Surely most can do the math to understand how many speeches one must do to afford this property??

I remember when Regan left office and went to Japan to give a speech.
The $$$ were astronomical! at a time when Japan was dominating our trade.
Made one wonder what all the money was for.
For giving a 1/2 hour speech?
Or,
Are the speeches given so the previously earned money can be paid.
Before that, I naively believed those old politicians gave speeches because
they were committed to the cause, and were trying to do good.
(Cut me some slack, I was 19 at the time. Still optimistic and innocent.)

Particularly when they manage to be on a half dozen boards at the same time. About the only guarantees in life are death, taxes, and crooked politicians.

I can't believe anyone would be crazy enough to pay anyone much less a socialist $500K for anything. it beats me but all democrats are enamored with the Hamptons.

However, Martha's Vineyard isn't in the Hamptons, or even on Long Island.
