Hi Guys,

I recently purchased a Marlin 30/30 and have been shooting the Hornady FTX loads. It goes okay but I am more of a reloader than a factory ammo guy. I was wondering if anyone has some reloading recipes with this particular bullet that they would like to share.

Many thanks

I am loading 34.5 of Hodgdon LVR along with the Hornady 160 FTX. ...groups about 1 inch for 3 shots.

Something to consider... I used to use the 160 FTX I have switched to the Barnes 150 TSX with 35.5 of LVR I am getting 2400 FPS across my chrony with a very mild load and sub inch accuracy. They work better on Bambi than the FTX. The top end of LVR for the Barnes is 38.5 so there is considerable head room to load into should your rifle prefer. With the 3/4 inch triangles that my 336 shoots at 35.5 and 2400 I just called it good and never even tried to see what any more might give me.

Thanks Gentlemen. Any idea what Hodgdon LVR converts to in Aussie powders?
