I performed in places Bob Munden was at as well. He was fast... when he got everything working the way it should. Good thing they have editing in videos.

One thing I always noticed about BM was his ego was about 10 times as big as he was, but that man could shoot!

Sheesh doesn’t look like I coulda done anything for the Wild West show other than tend to horses.
I'm pretty certain when we sing our anthem and mention the land of the free, the original intent didn't mean cell phones, food stamps and birth control.

Amazing to think about the change in Hollywood since then. During the 1950s there were fast draw competitions among the stars. If I remember correctly, the fastest was Jerry Lewis. My favorite story was when Hugh O'brien challenged Audie Murphy to a fast draw contest. Audie replied, "Only if we use live ammo."

Never met the man. Some of the things he has on video don't look all that hard to me. Others look impossible. Having not met the man I can't comment. I'll leave this though, the ego may be somewhat required. Part of that is a brain thing. If you don't think you are the best period, you never will be. There is a lot of sub concisous brain in shooting. And especially shooting at top levels. That said I have spoken to a number of national and international champions and while some of what they say could be construed as ego, the majority of them are flat down to earth. There is a fine line there somewhere... Hope I never cross it.
We can keep Larry Root and all his idiotic blabber and user names on here, but we can't get Ralph back..... Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, over....
