Luvin' the new smoker so much it needs to be bragged on a bit in its own thread. grin smile

Over the last 15-18 years or so I've gone through maybe 5 smokers including the one below. Honestly none have hit as hard with a first impression as this new drum with maybe 8 smokes on it to date. Only done ribs and butts so far and the inside is starting to get broken in nicely and with each smoke the flavor just gets better and better. BTW the ribs are my best ever but have hit a kind of plateau indicating a recipe or technique change is in order

Hope to do a hot & fast small brisket flat this week.

My baby. Till death do us part. laugh

Amended.

Still have the Green Mountain Davy Crocket. It's a fine little unit.

WSM: Gave it to my best friend

Medium BGE: Sold to a 24HCF member.

Hey that's not too bad ?

Seriously though. This thing has a huge amount of real estate as I added an extra shelf as well as another position for the charcoal basket giving the options of searing, hot &fast, low & slow, grilling and even cold smoking cheese and fish.

It's a tank with the ability to do small amounts as well.

Gonna be a keeper for sure

Those barrel smokers make the best ribs, congrats on the new smoker.

A gun in the hand is worth more than the entire police force on the phone.
