There is a new sheriff,judge and jury this year the ancient one has stepped down and I have been anointed the chosen one to carry the torch. I am a 3 time Dinkathon champ including back to back wins (I was robed another year but that is water under the bridge)
I am a firm but just ruler and that said rules count and here they are as follows

1. Dink must be a male deer

2. Pictures of dink must be provided as proof of kill and dinkhood

3.Pictures of junk as support of sex

4.Style points for weapon used picture of weapon in photo helpful *bonus points if dink i shorter than weapon*

5. The bribe is an integral part...Bourbon and Fine Cigars are favored

6. In the event of a discrepancy the HMF(thats Head Mo Fo) will rule and that ruling will be final...BTW I'm the HMF

Must there be protruding antler, or are buttons sufficient?

I thought that part of being a dink was that it had to have bone showing. In Kentucky, a button goes down as antlerless and you can take as many as you want. If it has visible antler, you have to burn your one and only buck tag.

buttons are allowed and hence the junk pictures as proof of sex

Tis not merely the lack of horn size but the whole package that gets you to the championship

Does this mean that the judge is no longer qualified? It's hard to bribe yourself.

I am retired from competition

If I can manage to shoot one off his mother's teat, will that count as a bonus? Are spots a plus?

Spots should certainly play in your favor. Which is good because I have a bunch still running around in full spots. Should still be visible by November.

I've got some real winners lined up and about ten tags to burn on them this year. I'm ready.

I consider it a failure on my part if I allow a buck to live long enough to have horns protruding. There's no excuse for that and you should challenge yourself as a hunter to get some lead in them and little bit earlier.

I won't be participating this year, feeling like a miserable loser, as the pic below is the smallest deer I've shot this year. The new HMF shot one ...no, make that two...bigger than this already this year...hence his ability to objectively judge " Dinks" has already come into question for some of us. I'm sure however that said doubts can be smoothed over by a liberal application of the aforementioned high end bourbon and cigars....
