Took my machete and limb saw and went cutting some lanes in the cool sprinkling rain last week, the time is drawing near!

Been trying to warm up to a couple of recurves but keep going back to this JGray custom I seem to shoot best. Looking like this one will see some field time this year... [/quote]

Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats.

I have/use 2 Mathew's. A Halon 32 and Z7. I still have the Bear Super Kodiak that I got back in the early 70's and occasionally shoot it in the yard. But I just don't shoot the Bear good enough to hunt with it (and I know, my bad!). Opening day is a week from today in Wisconsin.

Hoyt Faktor so far, and arrowed a 5x5 elk with it. Ordered a Hoyt Helix Ultra to use later for white tails.

1968 Super Kodiak @ 50lbs/cedar arrows and Bear greenies w/ bleeder
They say everything happens for a reason. For me that reason is usually because I've made some bad decisions that I need to pay for.

After 10+ years with a Drenalin, bought a Mathews Vertix to try out this year. My first new bow. Sure is quiet and stable.
