This mystery/thriller book by John Sandford is in his 'Prey' series and it has the protagonist Lucas Davenport as a U.S. Marshal pursuing an elusive and very security conscious killer-thief named Garvin Poole and his accomplice Sturgill Darling who have made the mistake of robbing a drug cartel counting house and killing everyone in it including a six year old girl who had just accompanied her grandfather to his work. It was all just 'no questions' kill everyone there. They made off with millions and it wasn't long before the cartel decided to get their money back. So law enforcement and cartel killers are after the pair. There are a lot of casualties along the way as people are tortured for information and usually killed. The two cartel killers, a man and a woman who despise each other are close on the trail as they trail the Marshals.

There's quite a bit of cell phone information about locating people. We all have heard about it and this makes it pretty real.

It's a good read.
