I'd call that a "Death Machine". That's a lot of engine for that little thing. Redneck engineering at it's finest.

I’d like to see what’s holding that engine in.

In the late 70's a friend of mine that was into cart racing borrowed one of my 340cc snowmobile racing engines and we installed it on one of his carts. We took it to the track one day to test it and after some modifications to the drive shaft to keep it from bowing under power, we did some high speed testing. I have never been on something that would accelerate or corner so hard as that thing. It was flat scary how fast you could go on the track and only being about 3" off the asphalt you really felt like you were going about 300mph. Actually we were only turning about 100mph in a very short straight away. It was similar to an outlaw car in the fact that when you started to feed it power coming out of the corner it would twist the frame and bring the left front tire off the ground about 2" and when you hit the straight and centered the steering wheel it would set the tire back down, you could feel the frame flex in every corner.

My cousins had a go cart powered by an old washing machine motor. We thought that was pretty cool, Those old motors had a kick start.

That thing would've been an OSHA regulation nightmare. But then we were smart enough to not go poking about fan belts and pulleys with our fingers. Apparently people are not so smart today. And bike helmets? Pffft!

Just show no way you could do a full throttle run with that thing the frame would not hold...
We did a Yamaha 360 2 stroke go cart in shop class...we had a local go cart track for a short time...the kid who built it his dad was a big tractor puller..that cart won a lot of races and was wicked fast. I ran it one time and it scared the crap out of me...it was a really more power than you could keep hooked up
