What’s scary is these people walk among us.
The one and only time I went on a rifle hunt on a state WMA in the early 90’s. A couple of guys from work and myself went. Around lunch we met back up at the truck, sitting there eating lunch and discussing what we had seen, hadn’t seen and where we were going that afternoon, a couple guys pull and start talking. Guy 1 says I haven’t seen anything. Guy 2 says well I’ve shot half a box of shells and can’t hit anything. I don’t know what’s wrong with me today. I ask how was your rifle shooting when you checked your scope. He replies “oh it’s not my rifle. It’s a new rifle. Just bought it last night. The guy at Walmart told me the scope was boresighted at the factory.” I didn’t hunt the afternoon.

One of my all time favorites was the guy telling his buddy to buy the rifle with the longer barrel because it'll be more accurate.
That 2 inches makes all the difference in a 30-06.
I just looked at him and asked to explain.
He said that the extra barrel let the bullet stabize better.

The guys at Walmart are even better. Oh wait, can’t buy there anymore. Had an incident at our locat Wal-Mart once, where no one in the store could even get into the gun cabinet. That happens a lot of times. Too many folks check out the keys and they never find their way back. kwg
