Started load development for Seekins Havak in 300win. I ordered Hornady brass and I weighed the cases and they had huge variances in their weight. low end was 229 grains up to 240 grains on the high end. So I sorted them and have piles of 8-10 pieces within +/- 2 grains. I will start with this brass cause its here but I am open to suggestions on what others are using. Loading 210 and 215 bergers over retumbo is the plan. Thanks, Tom

It is expensive, but I have found Nolser brass to be premium in my rifle. I don't spend time weighing and sorting....passed the stage of life some time ago. Now I just like rifles that shoot small groups consistently and have found that a good rifle will negate the differences that manifest themselves with brass...to the point I am capable of shooting.
Have worked with Hornady brass in my sons .300WM and have no complaints there either...sub moa average.
We load different brands just to keep our brass separated.

Thanks 300W. I dont care on the cost of brass as I normally buy premium brass and be done but my usual options weren't there with 300win. I will look for the nosler and at least try a batch and see if its more consistent

Another vote for Nosler brass. My experience with their brass could not be better, good stuff! I have also used quite a lot of Federal brass in my 300WM with good success. Sorry to hear of problems with Hornady, I had big hopes fpr them.

If you want the best and longest lasting get RWS. It is pricey but if you get half again or twice as many reloads then it is cost effective. Also prep and sorting time is nil. There are many new brass companies I have not tried like Alpha, Petersen and others. Reports are that it is better brass. Nosler and Norma there are still some reports of softer brass but I don't know of this first hand. A surprisingly good budget option is PPU. It may need more prep and sorting but is a hard brass and not that bad on uniformity. For all the metric cartridges I will use PPU over Remington or Winchester.

I've tried Norma, Winchester, RWS, ADG, and Gunwerks. I currently use Gunwerks brass, as it holds almost same capacity as Winchester brass. ADG would be second but heard its the same brass. I would recommend Gunwerks brass.

Tejano: During the last component shortage the only 300 mag brass I could find was PPU. Very good brass but it is quite heavy so has considerably less case capacity than any other brass I have used. It would hold a lot less IMR 4831 resulting in significantly lower velocities. Ditto for PPU 22 Hornet bress.

Late coming in, but I am using two "new to me" brands. Sig Sauer and Jagmann. Both are super nice, no flash hole burrs. The Jagmann is a tad thicker/heavier. 20yrs ago, I used prepped Winchester with great success. I have used "new" Winchester brass in a .270 and in a 338WM with great success ( after I prepped them). I really like Nosler(50 count), but you can get twice as many cases of Jagmann ( 2 bags of 50) from Natchez for about the same price. Same for Sig. Try them, they are good looking and well made, IMHO.

I agree on the Sig brass, I bought a 50 pc bag and had to throw out 5 pieces but the rest are very good after I worked them up and so far primer pockets are still nice and tight with 5 or 6 firings....I recently ordered some ADG .300 Win brass, I have read glowing reviews on ADG brass, the price is mid-range so i have high hopes 👍......Hb
