Finally received some brass, I have several brands and weights of bullets 140gr and up. My question here is what has been your most accurate powder and primer for this combo? The rifle I built for my self has an 8 twist Bartlein barrel 26 inches long. Thanks in advance

Dusty,

I've been loading the 130 Accubond and the 130 Swift Sirocco using 58.0-58.5 grains of H1000 and either the CCI BR-2 or the Remington 9-1/2 and I'm getting sub .5 MOA to .5 MOA with either load. The only difference between the two loads is the seating depth. Out of my Christensen Mesa my velocity had been right at 3100 FPS for the Remington 9-1/2 load. I haven't chrono'd the CCI BR-2 loads just yet, but I can't imagine them being too far off the same speed.

FWIW, loading the 130 AB in mine over 57.5gr H1000 w/210M and getting .675 out of my Sauer 100 (best yet except 143eldx and 147 eldm but won't hunt elk with either of those). Maybe not the best I can get but tried several others and nothing here to fix so on to chrono and verify drop to make up a drop chart. Then elk backstraps. Mac

Not a PRC but I'm running 3050 fps with a 130 accubond out of my 6.5X55 swede with 48 grains of RL17 in Lapua Brass. Easy extraction primer pockets were tight after 1 firing. Drops are recorded out to 600 yds and were ready for a combo mule deer, elk hunt in October. I've used the 130 accubond at 2930 fps on a fair amount of deer over the last 4 year's and it's always a pass thru with reasonably short runs. I'm confident it will work fine on a mature bull elk

Good bullets properly placed always work, but not everyone knows what good bullets are, or can reliably place them in the field
