Looking for a S&W 340 or 360 AirLite with Scandium frame. I prefer the PD version, not the M&P version.
PM me with details.

Take a look at the 637. A lot cheaper. I have a 360-j which is a special run 357 .And a 637 which is a 38 special. Just a little weight difference. Hasbeen

I think Grice guns in PA has them on sale for 550. Model 360 in 357. I have one myself, it is about painful to shoot full power 357. I think it weighs 12 ounces.

I would shoot one first. I regularly shoot full-house loads in a 454 Freedom Arms without issue, but even 38+P in those revolvers is painful. It's like hitting your palm sharply with a ball peen hammer. They are unshootable in 357.

I’ve got one of the original silver finish scandium frame, and dark grey titanium cylinder models(340) that I might part with. I qualified with it several times, which consists of 35 rounds for score. Shot 125gr Speer gold dot Ammo out of it. My entire palm, the web of my hand, and the back of my right thumb were black, blue, and purple for roughly a week every time. I finally got smart and don’t use it much anymore.
Oh, and believe it or not, deer bite. Fairly hard.

I had two of these. What people are telling you is correct. A 357 in the gun borders on unshootable. I have a Casull, have had both X framed Smith calibers and all three of those were much easier to shoot and shoot well, than the PD360 with 357's. 38's and 38+P are shootable. To save a little money, I got a S&W 360 38 Airweight. It's the same configuration as the PD 360 but will only shoot 38's. I'm good with that. Very good, since I can now shoot my lightweight J frame without damage to my hand. I dressed mine up a bit with laser grips and a Big Dot Tritium front sight.

Take a 2x4, open your palm, then swing it into your palm as hard as you can! That’s the best way I can explain shooting .357 Mag and even .38+P loads in mine before I sold it. Tried to be a badazz one day and put a full box of 50 through it of mags. Literally couldn’t turn a doorknob with my right hand for a full day after! With all that being said, I vote you buy one to experience it!

I like mine....good luck in your search.
Recoil is stout but tolerable in small doses.

Thanks for all "hands on" testimonials. We have experience with a 642 AirWeight that my wife shoots just fine with 38specials. Yes the key is "all things in moderation."
Still looking for a 340.

Speer Gold dot 135gr 357 is super mild in that gun and totally controllable if the big stuff is too much. That’s what my wife carried in hers 340pd. Super accurate too. Get the one with the golf ball xs sight. It’s a winner
