I'm betting that some people will be wildly disappointed upon purchase. wink

Is this issue included in the normal Rifle subscription? Or is it offered separately?

Even if the articles have been published before it was probably over numerous years. It would be handy to have them all in one magazine though.

Elvis, I don't think its included with the standard subscription. I bought mine off the stand at Cabela's. Unlike some here, I have no issue with reprints of good articles as there are some of those issues I no longer or ever, owned.

If it has 14 each 6.5 mm cartridge articles, I would say it’s pretty spendy fire starter. Just sayin’......

No buyers remorse here.

Finally a Rifle Special Edition with multiple articles ( no less than 4 of 13 ) authored by our own John Barsness !

I am currently riveted by the CentreFold 6.5’06 article.

My one complaint, is that Wolfe never seems to divulge the original publication issue & date for reprinted articles.

Oh, and also, MD; I should caution you that while you may still feel quite youthful,
there are some who may disagree. Almost to the point of also being described as an Olde Fart,
Iconically specking , Of course.

I put you in the same league as JOC.

I will of course, be re-reading your recently published 6.5 PRC article as well.

Cheers

Thanks!

Did not know I had four articles in there. Goggled it and found I had at least two.

These days I do occasionally refer to myself an old fart (or grumpy old man), but have more recently settled on "more mature."

It almost makes up for your conspicuous absences in the Varmint Special Editions.
Your field research in this area has been invaluable.

As for More Mature, Say it Ain’t So !

I think it was in JOCs writing where I first saw, and looked up the definition for the word curmudgeon .

Yup, four JB.... all good ones too!
I bought it just to read about some of the newer 6.5 flame throwers and history of some older more “mature” rounds.
There’s quite a bit of good loading and bullet information with most of the articles, too.
I’ll read it cover to cover, which is a hell of a lot more than I get out of most of the gun rags these days.....

Agree and always learn something new when reading JB's articles.

I guess I will have to check out my local Barnes & Noble for this publication. It's good to have a related information in one place. Thanks for informing us.

It's a Hot Swedish thing made in either 1906 or 1910 I'll have to look again when at the house:D
