Found a couple half-hearted scrapes in western mid Michigan on Monday.

Also seems to be plenty of acorns.

Good timing of this thread. I found a pretty good one last Saturday.

It ain't my fault.

Thought there would be more findings.

I walked some country yesterday. Saw buck rubs, but no scrapes.

No, I have not bow hunted for quite a few years.
I shoot a Bear recurve, so have to get some shooting in well before season starts.
I never seem to get started practicing any more.

Tilled several small plots a week ago. Went up today and largest was almost totally torn up. Looked like a cross between
a square dance and a scrape. Was about 30'x50' with not one inch that was not torn up.
Not a clue what that was all about.

Rubs have started to appear in this area, but I haven’t seen any scrapes yet.

Tim I have a Bear Kodiak magnum. I can’t hunt with it anymore, but I one of my grandkids will!

Seeing scrapes on the place near Brady. Bucks are still in their bachelor groups though.

Not a bear, turkey or hog sign to be found.

It was whitetails doing ???????

My first thought was an all night deer square dance.

Haven't had a second thought on this.

No. Returned a week later to spread some fertilizer and just tracks passing thru.
Went back a week after that to spread some seed and just tracks passing thru again.

I think my first impression of a deer square dance must have been correct.

The ground was not dug up with deep enough gouges to be from a power struggle.
At least in my opinion. But........
