I think I previously .posted this on the wrong forum. Does anyone have an opinion on having this work done by Simmons in Olathe Kansas. Thank you.

Simmons has been top rated for decades. In fact, I read where they installed some ribs for Winchester but I don't know if that's true or not. Their rebluing after adding a rib is great. I have heard something lately that they are owned by someone else but I don't know any of this for a fact. I do know that I have one Model 12 with a Simmons rib that I really like.

I used to work with an Air Traffic Controller that was related to the family. For what it is worth, the original family is no longer in the business. Seems that none of the founders children had the desire to run a business. Not sure who bought it, may be some of the employees. I'd find out before I made the decision to do it.

I had Simmons add a rib and refinish my Grandpa's 16 ga. M12 about 10 years ago. The rib and barrel turned out fine but the receiver had a blemish I was not happy with. I would look around at alternative like Doug Braker, Midwest Gunworks or Nuline or ??

I know turnbull has done model 12’s. They can make it factory new or even restore and then “age” it to looks mildly used. They are THE experts.
