Really good piece of lumber for a non-Super Grade.

And I’m fresh out out gun budget this month. Maybe that’s a good thing......

I saw that last night and sent that to a fellow enthusiast. I agree with you slope, that is a fine stick for a non SG.

I have one of the stainless Featherweights in 7Mag, and a 338 just like this one as well. Put decelerator pads on them long ago. I would want to do that with this one too, if I was going to use it, and that pretty much screws the collector value. I don’t think that this would be a shooter for me, and all my firearms are shooters.

If it were a featherweight, id think about buying it. I dont get along very well with the factory sporter stock. I dont care how "pretty " it is.

If it were chambered for something I like better (not that I think there is a thing wrong with the 7mm RM), I might be bidding against you. But I'm not. Good luck!

Ive got one unfired with hang tags in 30-06 that I have been thinking about letting go to a new home. The wood isn't near as figured as the GB ad. Its a Connecticut rifle. I wonder what a good asking price would be.

Ive also got a stainless featherweight that I have hunted quite a lot with.

Hang tags and box MAY get you over 1k on an auction site (‘06) although you might end up closer to the $800-$900 mark. Last one I recall (nib same configuration) on GB was a 270 that went for 8 and change about a year ago. $800 here on 24 and it’s gone today.

Need more info on fw.
