I bought one from another member here, just received it yesterday so it is not mounted yet. This scope is going on a Super Shadow 7WSM.

Duplex reticle, 2.5-10x, 30mm tube. maybe a fuzz heavy for its size but that's okay because I don't hunt much over a half mile from the truck much anymore.

Glass seems alright to me. Has the ability to reset the turrets back to zero. Exo coating on the lenses that is supposed to be better than the older Rainguard, time will tell but I do know the old Rainguard did work.

The scope seems okay to me for my uses on a rifle that will just be used as a stand rifle for whitetail unless I head West at some point.

Midway have/had them on sale last week. 4-16X44 Deploy MOA SFP, SF. $225.00, arrived this am. Mounted in Vortex rings, on a M1A with Sadlak base. Looks great, glass is on par with the old Elite 4200 series, to my eyes. It is heavy thou. I'll load some rounds soon and see how it works.

I jumped on the same deal from Midway and the scope came yesterday as well! It seems like it is very well made (Korea not China) and the glass compared to my 4500 elite I bought a couple of years ago. It is heavy, but the rifle it's going on that is not a big deal. After I have played with it I will make a post. For $225.00 I think its a pretty solid scope and deal.

I was just researching the Nitro line. The Gander Outdoor store near me is going out of business and everything is 40% off. (guns and ammo are 15% off). Saw some Nitros on the shelf, some Primes and an Engage.

Maybe head back and pick one up.

Bushnell Nitro
4-16X44 Deploy MOA
Second Focal Plane
Side Focus
Test Rifle Springfield M1A Loaded .308

Finally got to do some shooting and comparisons, kidney stones have had me down and out past two weeks.

Out of the box scope impressions: Scope looks really nice, gun metal gray finish, with flat black turrets covers with red accent at the base of the turrets. Scope is heavy at 23 oz.

I can see where the weight could be an issue, but mounted on the M1A which is heavy I don't think the extra weight is a big deal. If you want a light rig this is not the scope
.
Optic quality: I do not own any really High End optic so I compared it to one of my Bushnell 4200 Elites 3-9X40. For comparison I viewed both scopes set at 9X.
The Nitro, to my old tired astigmatism eyes appeared, to have a slight edge. The larger 44mm objective I am sure makes the difference. The ghost ring on the outer edge is negligible, much smaller on the Nitro compared to the 4200. Clarity, sharpness, appeared to have only a slight edge over the 4200. Low light compared to the smaller objective 4200 was noticeably better seeing into the dark shadows.

Turret Adjustments: The Side Focus Paralax calibartions were spot on at the 100 yard setting. Shooting a box test revealed windage adjustmests slightly less than MOA, while elevation adjustments slightly greater than MOA. Click adjustment were strong solid not mushy as I have noticed on some scopes. You can set a zero on elevation and windage turrets.

Eye relief: stated as 3.6" was more than enough to mount on the M1A using a Sadlak scope base, and acquire a solid checkweld.
