Same with my 20, Rick.

I hunt withseveral shotguns, Beretta, Benelli and Browning. Have not used a full choke in 30 years or more. For ducks and geese, I use Mod or if in decoys, IC. For pheasants, Mod in top barrel, and IC in bottom of using O/U or Mod if using auto loader. For smaller birds, I use mostly LM or IC.

Briley. They have always performed well for me. No need to look anywhere else.

I think I put the IC tube in when I bought it, Beretta Extrema. I usually use Kent 3" 1 1/8oz 2s. Got some Fiocchi 3s to try next week. If they dont work out, I'll shoot em up and go back to Kent's. Most likely go back to Kent's anyway. Always liked em but Scheels didnt have any when I was in there.

I recommend Jebs for ducks and turkeys. For standard f,m,ic tubes I'd suggest going with those manufacturerd by the maker of your shotgun. If you can't find those, go with briley or Carson as both are outstanding.

My 20 ga IM benelli with low base 6s will take the brains out of any Turkey I hold it on out to 40 yds.

I have no problem taking out fox squirrels with it at 35 easy.

I have a Benelli SBE2 and it came with more chokes than Carter has Little Liver pills. As far as other chokes go, I have good look with the Hastings turkey chokes, along with the Indian Creek Black Diamond. I am currently using a Carlson Longbeard choke in my 20 gauge Remington, and it produces a very good pattern with the Longbeard shells.

Full.

And Benelli's Montefeltro (12ga) action was not designed to function with and load less than 1 1/8oz load. Velocity doesn't matter. We learned that the hard way with 1oz slugs. Should have read the instructions.

I have, use, and am happy with Briley/Browning, Carlson's, Colonial, Hastings, Rhino, Comp-n-Choke, whomever made the original Winchoke tubes, and probably a couple others I have forgotten. If the choke is the proper gauge and thread type, has the constriction I want, and is priced something I am willing to pay then I'll buy it. I have not found a significant difference between brands in quality but there are often slight differences in what constriction manufacturers deem a particular choke designation. Not a big deal if one pattern tests/checks POA/POI or understands what they are buying. The turkey tubes are one Briley/Browning that came with the Gold turkey gun and two that came in a green package but don't recall brand.

I tend to buy used, clearance, or sale chokes for considerably less than new. It is the reason I have a number of brands and don't really recall all the names. It's not overly important as long as the choke provides the patterns you want. I do prefer extended chokes though, it makes identification and changing them easier.

Yep, turkeys are bigger and have feathers.

A squirrels hide is a lot tougher to penetrate than a Turkey head.

I'm not trying to shoot turkeys in the body, J.

I shoot them in the body with my bow.
