My Fosnaugh 7 mag shoots them stupid well over 70gr of retumbo. Velocity is 2950 and accuracy is sub 3/8” routinely.

It is my go to load for this hunting season.

Thank you for the info. I will give this combo a run.

Several loads worked very well:

Rem brass
Cci 250
62.5g of R#22
2830 fps
bug hole groups

63.5g of R#23
CCI 250
2810 gps

67.5-67.7g of H1000
Fed 215
2900 on a 26" barrel

68-69g of Retubmo with a fed 215 in one barrel, this is right at what the brass will take on pressure

R#25 with a win mag primer is fast with small SD, right at a max load for the rifle in the Rem brass we were using; rough on brass but ungodly accurate and fast

Will be working with R#26 next

These loads are for illustration purposes of what worked in our rifles with .277/284 bores, 9 twist

If you end up with a .276/.284 bore, pressures will peak sooner. 8 Twists may peak pressures sooner. Winchester brass loads may be way too hot with these loads, and RWS brass is the toughest brass of all and back off on the loads above

Kiss the lands if you can in your bullet seating

We full length size all our brass, ALWAYS. Use a Redding Comp seater or Forster seater.

180g Berger HVLD and 175g Nosler LRAB are stellar performers on deer and hogs we have shot.
