Or post a couple pics here (with pertinent info regarding box labels, headstamps, exact type of ammo, etc.). We could at least identify it and help with value, and quite possibly buy it from you too if that is your goal.

I think so as he owned one. seen one listing on the standard 8 shot clip at $35. ea, not able to lcate any with the large black ballistic tips,,,, and the 30 carbine 10 shot clips at $15. ea, sounded like a lot if you go by a full 16 clip belt??

"Large black ballistic tips" = painted black tips denoting armor piercing (AP) rounds.

Anecdote: the Army issued one helluva lot of AP ammo in Garand clips in WWII. Reason was GI's needing/wanting that extra punch for dealing with enemies behind cover.

The OP sent me some pics of this ammo. I gotta say it is bright extremely clean looking stuff, in pristine web belts and bandoliers. I'm not in the market for any milsurp ammo or I would be negotiating for some of it.

couple years ago, i managed for about 12dollars a box, get some in the box unopened m1carbine ammo from 1943.
i have seen that a.p. stuff in 30.06 going for one dollar to two dollars a round.
as to it's usage, a brother in law told me the japanese had a rude awakening thinking the military ball would not penetrate their dugouts in the pacific. The a.p. did with ease.
