Blow away...I won’t hear it from where I hunt. 😎

PS
Be sure to use your turn signal...Road hunters are easily distracted when I drive by with horns and hooves sticking out of my truck bed 😂

We have elk here in north Idaho that bugle into November. It's not uncommon at all.
I killed a cow (cow tag) that was being chased by a bull right at the first of November....made for an exciting if not chaotic hunt that night. Rutty bull with cows running everywhere.
This was after a high pressure elk season.

Called a rag in to six yards Monday. Watched a 5x4 breeding a cow this morning.
We have two of three tags notched.

Mine, boy chased em around archery but didn’t connect, he’s got 3 weeks for late season to get it done. There’s a giant 5 running around, but this guy was my #1 pick, I like lotsa points!! 🤣

No love for me in a 7 day Roosevelt hunt. Passed on a small bull trying to weave a bullet into the biggest bull and came home empty. None responded to calling of any kind in 7 days.

It’s pretty much a wrap.

I pulled the plug day 5 of Oregon's 7 day cascade general season. If I remember right, the hunt has a 6% success rate so for must people it's just a chance to take your gun for a walk in the woods. First day I did see 2 elk. I never talked to another person who so much as saw an elk. I never heard a single shot fired. By Wednesday afternoon, I'd run out of things to try, torn up my feet climbing mountains, so I just pointed my truck back for town and called it over ... time to go back to work.

Winchel: Saw and heard a beautiful big 6x6 Bull Elk (350" class!) bugling yesterday (October 25th 2,019) - there were many lesser Bulls in the huge herd he was in but for the time we watched them - only this "biggest Bull" was bugling.
Bugled maybe 8 - 10 times in the 15+ minutes we watched them.
