a Porsche with WVa plates still seem odd to me....

yet last time down home, say two of them in Monroe County....

what's the world coming to.....

had to belong to transplants... sure wasn't a local....

Locally today, weather in the low 60s, not a cloud in the sky....

took the old road ( Rt 66) across the Cascades to Klamath Falls, and then back on the newer road to the north ( Rt 140)
back to I 5.... 200 mile round trip....

My Wife and I like to drive somewhere interesting for Breakfast or lunch one in a while.

One of our favorites is the coast. It's only about a two hour drive from here.

Used to go with my grandparents on Sunday drives when I was a kid..
I think in the early days of the automobile they were a luxury non nessesity item...so they were used for family fun on the day of rest..in those early days the whole of Econmic structure was used to doing everything without cars so they usually sat all week...so the Sunday drive tradition started...

Yep...Almost every weekend. Dog always wants to ride shotgun. Wife would let him if had thumbs to run a gun.

I am the opposite, I live on west slope of the Rockies on land...don't even care to go to town. Horseback is a different deal, love to explore our backcountry, you can never get into every creek or valley within eyeshot of the farm in a lifetime, imo. Enjoy your thread.Cheers

After about 8 days of rain and temps in the 40s, I finally was able to put a few miles on the HD yesterday.. Sunny and 60 was a welcome change... But yes, I love to just get in the truck and take a drive - especially in the fall when the leaves are turning..

We do it but with a variation. It takes only a few minutes to load the Razor in the trailer. Then it's 15 minutes to the hills. 3 miles up a Jeep road in the Razor puts us in National Forest with a few hundred miles of Jeep roads and trails. Deer, occasional antelope or moose, birds, cattle grazing. It's a lot more relaxing than just driving in the car.

All the time. We enjoy trying out restaurants and sights we see on Tennessee Crossroads. Last week did 3 hours each way to eat lunch. Couple of weeks ago told the wife to pack a bag for a couple of days. Later than night we were eating seafood on the beach at Panama City, Florida.

My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

I do all the time but I don’t go to town. I live in the stocks and drive around in the country or in the logging roads and two tracks

On two wheels, motorized or pedal, yeah...all the time. It's an enjoyable way for me to get out and about. The truck goes from point a to b in a fairly non-recreational fashion.
