I thought gun ownership was restrictive there. I sell very, very few books to the Far East. And I can't even break out any sake.

808 yen, or about $7.50 USD.

Thanks to you both. I have never seen anything in that sales column before. It will probably never happen again. I hope whoever bought it writes me. smile

Good first effort, Manga Steve. Nice gap.

Next time work in some cleavage and maybe a short skirt.

Funny how we round-eyed white devils aren't offended by the stereotypes in Asian depictions of us in their artwork. Guess we ain't "woke".

Lee Enfield rifles and others continue into the 21st century...and before.

Jawas in Star Wars carried an ion blaster made from the No 1 MkIII Lee Enfield.
Imperial Storm troopers carried their Blaster Rifles which were made from SMGs. Ye Olde Sterling Mashing Gun.

But I give a high five to the young ladies carrying No4s.

That's recycling. I wonder if they used Cerakote?

Now you just need someone to actually open a book and read it! smile

I bought your book on the 303 years ago. It took me a couple years to finally read it, though to be fair, it somehow ended up packed away in a box of my pots and pans my new wife did not wish to use.

You'll have to scour the gun tables at the local gun show. smile Those blasters would have been fun when I was a kid. I bet you could set them on a wide dispersal and blow hay bales apart.

Reading skills have deteriorated over the years. Not markedly, but enough that my colleagues and I noticed it when I was teaching. Still, books are going strong. smile I thank you for buying the book. You never know, you might feel like digging it out some time. You'll have an advantage over the young people.

Steve, I also have a handful of sales to places I'd never have suspected: India, Japan, Africa and such. Must be a few English speakers out there! Doubly odd, those are print sales, not ebooks.

Yes. I believe that young people have discovered that books are still useful. Paper versions will likely disappear when a superior power system and truly compact devise is built. Nothing beats reading an old book while sitting on a privvy at camp. smile

I live hope that someone in Antarctica buys one someday. That's the only continent I'm missing.

I dunno. Enough to take down an Imperial battle cruiser?

Thanks Bill. We went out to the Mandarin for supper tonight. I would rather have been at moose camp with a can of beans. The food at the Mandarin is overrated.

The young people have one huge advantage over me when it comes to reading- they don't need reading glasses! Do you offer large print on papyrus? That would be more my style these days.

You aren't kidding regarding the lessening of reading skills, along with the rest of the "R"s too. I had to explain what n abacus and a slide rule was to a group of college students at work, it is a retail store but sheesh, they are in college! I hope to show them how a slide rule works later this week, first I have to refresh myself on it. I think an abacus will be a bit later as I don't have one. It would be easier though, I think.
