Looking for info about this gunsmith. The only thing I could find was about rebarreling single shot rifles. I bought a nice short action PF Model 70 for a very fair price. It has an unknown make custom barrel in 7/08, is marked D Fansler, and has a number under the wood. It is ported and has a woman’s name engraved on it. I bought it near an Air Force base, so the maker could be about anywhere. I planned to turn it into a Creed, but curiosity is getting the better of me and I bought a box of ammo today. If it shoots I will cut the barrel back to 21” to get rid of the porting.

Before you cut anything make sure the porting isn’t actually a break that was turned down to match the barrel - i.e. those can be unscrewed and removed..
