The thread on the 10mm is timely. I have been thinking about getting one. I am interested in the XD-M, specifically this model https://www.springfield-armory.com/products/xdm-4-5-10mm/
Does anybody have one and is willingly to provide a review?

I don't know about the 4.5" version, but I've owned the 5.25" model for a month and have put 300 rounds of 155 grain and 180 grain handloads and one box of Winchester 180 grain wuss-level loads through it. I like it very much! The trigger is better than the two Glock 20s I've owned and it's more ergonomic. Very soft shooter, and with a couple of the handloads it's treading on the heels of my Dan Wesson Silverback for accuracy. (To be fair, I haven't tried the same loads in the DW, as they've been the first I've used with BE-86 powder.) No failures, drama, or bobbles thus far.

I could not imagine the trigger in any striker fired pistol being "a whole lot better" than another from a different company. Faced with the same choice as you one might consider the availability of aftermarket improvement parts for both pistols and see which one fits your needs the best.

I own a 10mm 5.25 XDM. Great gun and fits my paw great! Very accurate

Depends what you're comparing it to Rufus. I'm a revolver/1911 guy and I have yet to feel a striker-fired trigger worth a damn - including guys who say "You gotta try this one! Check out that short reset!" For some reason a short reset seems to be their sole criteria for a "good trigger". I don't get it.

I will say some are not as bad as others...

BTW - I have a G20 I need to get rid of that I bought in a weak moment.

Sounds like it's possible your "not as bad as" might be close to another guy's "whole lot better than" lol.

So Rufus a 1911 trigger is significantly better than a p365 trigger but in my use a standard P365 trigger is not significantly better than a standard Glock trigger. Granted significantly means different things to different people.

P365 is one gun, "any" implies every other striker fired gun.

I have the 4.5" one and like it not many rounds through it yet. One thing I have noticed on mine and my buds with 15 rounds in mag, you cant push mag release in unless you put upward pressure from the bottom of mag or put one in the chamber then with 14 in mag works fine, Springfield needs to get this resolved.

Kydex holsters are very difficult to find that fit! XDM,s in 45 dont work.

The Glock 20 is fine loading 15, which my wife uses.

I have every caliber in the XD all of mine get aftermarket powder river triggers from brownells.

I have the 4.5" version and have only shot a few boxes of 180gr 1,200-1,250fps stuff though it. It's fairly easy to shoot for what it is. I have other XDM models in 9mm and .40 and like them all.

any striker fired gun is going to have a trigger that does not come close to a single action revolver, or 1911 style weapon. The triggers in striker fired guns are similar having shot a few. Why are you arguing something as silly as this? I am sure that we can agree that striker fired gun triggers are more similar than they are different.

I would like to be perfectly clear that I do not agree that all striker fired guns have triggers that are more alike than different. And anyway that's not what you originally said.

You're welcome. If I had time I'd try to explain to you what your own posts actually say but I'm pretty busy today.

once again thanks, i have never owned any glocks, sigs, smith and wessons, walthers, HK's, Colts, Rugers, or any other type of pistol, nor have I been shooting for any length of time just started as a matter of fact, and probably would not be able to hit an apple at 12 yards with any sort of pistol two or three times if anyone made a $50 bet that I could not. Them there striker fired pistols that are all striker fired are remarkably different just as you say.

Feel free to dig as deep as you like, I'm just watching from here on out.

thanks Rufus, what passes for knowledge on this board is a sad and far cry from where it was 13 or so years ago. I think I am about done here as well.
