I cook 'em like a baked potato, and like the squash better. Cut 'em in half, scrape out the seeds, score the "meat some, drop in some garlic butter and seasoning, wrap in foil, enjoy about an hour later. We love the darn things.

We cook them in a similar manner, except regular butter with a pinch or two of brown sugar. About an hour with the oven set at 350° F. We also enjoy them.

Brushed with butter and maple syrup, then a couple tablespoons of maple syrup in the center as it cooks. Some fresh cracked black pepper doesn’t hurt, either.

Dont throw away the seeds!

Clean them up, soak them in a little salt water, and roast them in oven until just a little brown. Similar in taste to pumpkin seeds but with a much thinner skin.

Microwave to soften: 3-5 minutes. Cut in half. Remove seeds and stringy crap. Put a little water in a Corning Ware dish. Stand halves in dish. Put lots of butter and lots of brown sugar in the squash. Put waxed paper over the top. Microwave until the doneness you desire is reached. Have extra butter and brown sugar available to add as needed as you eat.

Cut in half, cleaned, and baked with maple syrup or honey. We also love them, as mentioned above.

Try 20 minutes in the microwave on high.... face down -(cut in half and lightly salted)

Then Butter & brown sugar, and or maple syrup... face up on low broil for 8 or so minutes

I could have sworn i posted this before.

Cut them in half, remove the seeds, put a tablespoon of brown sugar in the cavity and roast at 425 degrees until done (usually takes 45 minutes or so, depending on size).

You forgot the butter. I'll cook and serve them in a small bowl that fits so the butter/sugar doesn't spill on the plate while spooning the golden delicious out.
