I’m waiting on my son to get here. We are going to the deer lease in Burnet, try to stick an arrow in a deer or a pig, maybe an Aoudad.

What are you all doing this weekend?

On my way to worm cows this morn. Who know what Saturday will turn into. Sunday I gotta go over to old son’s house for wifey and me’s 40th wedding anniversary party. I keep telling her one of us would have been our on parole by now. This has all the makings of a three-cornered, peter pull. ( Kinfolk will be present. That’s always a recipe for unexpected "fun").

Whatever happens I doubt I’ll have as much fun as chasing pigs

Resting my tired old legs from 5 days of elk and deer hunting in vertical country. I need a few days rest before going back.

They finally got the corn combined where we can get in to set up box blinds.

Muzzle loader came in yesterday, but the wind was blowing 50 mph. Gonna try it this evening, tomorrow morning before work, then tomorrow night. Hopefully I'll kill a nice buck. Shot a doe last Saturday with the crossbow. Next week is doe only, so I'll save them for next week and give them a pass this weekend. Hopefully a big boy will show himself.

Sporting clays Sunday morning.

Supposed to rain all day Saturday so eat a big breakfast and make the rest up as I go along, Sunday afternoon will be working as a Range Safety Officer for sight in season.

Packing today for a month in Idaho and Wyoming, we roll out on Saturday morning w/ overnights in Ely, Nv. and Burley, Id. Have wolf tags for Idaho and will probably get another for Wyoming. Some coyotes will surely die also.

I have to go to a cross country meet today. My daughter takes pictures, I am taking a book. I also ordered a Bog pod tripod today because I am not a good shot and need some extra help. Tomorrow I will most likely end up in a bigger city shopping for a coat. Sunday I hope to attend church and then nap.
