Wife and I made a quick trip to the Gulf this week. I ate some red snapper for the first time, and it was pretty good. Ordered it fried, which may, or may not, be the best way to eat it, as much as I know. Anyway, I much prefer crappie and catfish.

You heard about the pretty blonde that went down to the coast with 4 young guys? She came back with a big red snapper!

We deep fry them whole. After scaling and gutting, make some cuts along the sides then dust them in seasoned flour. Out of this world good.

I'm sure STXHUNTER knows some killer ways to cook them.

Red Snapper Veracruz is really good.

I had that in MX years ago. FANTASTIC. I tried to duplicate the sauce once but without success.

On a boat or on the beach? Surf casting is fun.

If you take the time it takes, it takes less time.

Knew a guy in college. Was buddies with a charter captain. Captain kept the throats for himself. Real good eating.
