is there anyone who reloads for this? where does one find jacketed soft point bullets in .351? I would like to take a deer with this one day if possible. it's been in the family since it was new and to our knowledge has only taken one deer. I'd like it to go full circle

SH- does the round nose mean it's a soft point? forgive my ignorance. I have no experience with Hawk Bullets

Can you post the particulars of your loads? Brass, bullets, and all? yes I will post my loads but remember mine is a 351. I do have data for the 35 though and will try to post it also.

oh! I like the looks of that bullet. looks like it would work on deer at close range.

I have the 1910 in 401. Very cool guns and fun to shoot. Mine is a tack driver at 50 yards with 250 grain bullets. I bought some of the Qual Cart brass and just picked up some 414 Super Mag to make 401 brass. The Real guns information is good. There is also a forum called Vintage Semi Auto Rifles. Kind on an interesting forum. It doesn't get a lot of traffic but there is some good info there. Real Guns Vintage Semi Auto
Chronographs, bore scopes and pattern boards have broke a lot of hearts.

well it's looking like this rifle will finally come into my hands soon. my interest is really piqued in finding how to make ammo for this. it sounds like a hoot to shoot and given that my great grandad bought it new and my son is starting to hunt this year, it would be really cool to bring it along. I'll keep ya'll posted

My father in law had one in MN, back in the 80s... He learned to hunt with it back in the 40s, and then his youngest son used it when we went out deer hunting in the 80s with it.... took a deer annually in Northern MN north of Hibbing... woods ranges...
Bill's dad bought it back when it was new, as he was a guard at the Federal Penn, in Sandstone MN in the early 1900s until the lat 1930s...
each of his boys learned to deer hunt with it also....

That is one cartridge we could use a modern version of. Wish they'd come out with a rimless .357 Maximum and chamber it in ARs.  There is 357 AR...223 Rem. straight wall 1.8"....Starline makes 223 basic brass...... To deliver performance up to: 160 Grain Cutting Edge Starline basic brass 26 Grains H110 Seat O.A.L 2.320" Remington 7 1/2 Primer Velocity: 2,421 @ 14 foot measurement point Accuracy at: 100 Yards: 0.550" 200 Yards: 2.141" 300 Yards: 2.450"

So to resurrect an old thread....
I came across someone who uses 9mm magnum brass as they are just a hair longer, but he doesn't need to trim them. I'm hoping to get hands on the rifle pretty soon (yes I know I said that last year). is there anyone out there who has played around with this cartridge?

Still looking for a source on reloading components, Picking the rifle up this weekend. Did find a set of dies. bullets and brass is a little harder

When you receive it and wanna learn what makes it tick,,,,, just remember,,,,, Do NOT disassemble the action spring and bolt assembly (all operated up front in the wooden forearm area) off the bolt action spring guide tube!!! Just be satisfied it’s all in good working order ( which it probably is).

I did take my 351 wsl has apart and it was a bit Of a bugger to get back together, put in a new recoil spring, ended up using a threaded rod to reinstall it.
