I grew up in Square body Chevy's because my Dad and my Uncle had lifted 4X4's and they were really sweet. They were both 8 foot beds with 350 V8's. I always admired those 70's Fords from a distance and thought they were maybe even the better looking truck of that era? Dad's buddy had a black, lifted 76 Ford 4x4 that was really sharp. And of course Dodge had a good looking truck in the 70's as well. What do you like best?

Saw an original looking mid 70's Ford Highboy the other day that sure lit me up. Had all the old man gear including a huge bumper and winch. Very cool.

Ford in the 70s.
Chevy in the 60s. I could agree with that.

The 71-72 Cheyenne Super was a beautiful truck. Had a plain 70 that I liked, but...
I moved to the 73- 80 square body Chevy's & had several. Thought for a long time they would be my all time pick, but........
The 81-87's grew on me & thats my pick. I have a short bed 86 4x4 now.
Never had a Ford, but the 77-78 or 78-79? was a good looking truck & a proper optioned 4x4 of those years had a lot going for them.
Gunzo, who has had a 63, 70, 2-76's, a 77, 78 & 79....... 84 & 2 86's. Chevy's of course.
Wanna talk CJ Jeeps ? I had fun, eating beans & bologna now, because of it.

Remember why, specifically, the Bill of Rights was written...remember its purpose. It was written to limit the power of government over the individual.
There is no believing a liar, even when he speaks the truth.

Early 70’s Chevy hands down but couldn’t afford them around here. My senior year I Had a 78 Chevy Scottsdale 4x4 in Hawaiian Blue with light blur top. 350 4 speed with 4:10 gears. It had dual tanks for a reason. My wife says that is the only reason she went out with me.

I had a 1970 Chevy C-10. The swing arm coil spring rear suspension sucked.
