Just picked mine up this week. Pretty slick little rifle.

What are you folks running for glass and rings/mounts? What ammo are you shooting.

Just shot mine a bit to this point. I went with Weaver style bases and I did have to shim the rear base slightly. I mounted a Vari XIII 1.75X6 just for size consideration and so far I'm shooting Hornady factory ELD-M ammo. I really think loading a 100 grain Nosler BT would be the ticket for a truck gun load. Decent accuracy so far in limited firings.

I have a little Redfield 2-7 on mine in Warne two piece bases and Burris Zee low rings. It makes for a handy little package. Mine will shoot the Hornady Custom 123 grain into about 3/4" at 100 yds. I have it 2" high at 100 and it not problem to break clay pigeons every shot at 200. The recoil is barely more than a 223. I am loving this little rifle. Plan to see how it performs on deer this season.

I picked up a youth model last year for kids that wanted to shoot or hunt with it. It’s #1 barrel. Well they haven’t so I took it over. Slapped a thick recoil pad on it for more lop. Previous owner installed a Outerlimits 20 MOA rail. Put a Burris Fullfield 3-9x 40 illuminated reticle in some crappy Sig Sauer medium rings. Low would probably work. Had horrible groups and the rings were loose after every shot. I put Loctite on all ring screws and it shoots good now. I had buyers remorse for not getting heavy barrel but love it now. Super handy truck/ woods gun and accurate with Factory Hornady Black and Federal TNT 90 grain ammo. Big sow was 30 yards with the TNT and Yote was 204 yards with Hornady Black. It’s a really fun rifle.

Redfield 2-7 would seem a dandy combo. Mine's still in Layaway jail.... I'm thinking 6X SWFA.

Its a cool little package, Boom!

have a Redfield 4-12 without a home, and an old Burris 3-9 as well. Might mount one of those until I find a deal on a SWFA ultralight.

Those Vortex Pro rings decent?

Thinking those on top of XTR two piece bases.

Hear those rings are made by Seekins and are top quality. Some Leupold PRWs, Warne horizontal Maximas or Mountain Techs would all work too.

I have been drooling over the potential with the little round. Looking forward to it. Maybe by the time I get mine I'll have the unloading crap unpacked... Or buy some factory rounds!

I think the Seekins are the same as the Vortex precision? https://vortexoptics.com/vortex-precision-matched-1-inch-rings.html?vx_ring_height=1176

The pro series are less than half the price. I’m a cheap bastard. $200 for a couple small chunks of machined 7075 seems kinda ridiculous IMO.

Bought a couple boxes of Hornady Black with the ELD’s and the Hornady SST’s. Will see what it likes I guess. Don’t plan on loading for it. Rather find a deal on bulk and just go.

I’m stoked to shoot the little thing.

Those Vortex Pro rings are excellent, I have them on my Tikka 6.5 CM, and would buy those again over others .

A couple of things.

First, where are you guys finding this rifle? I have a serious itch for a bolt action 6.5 Grendel. Preferably one with a barrel that is already threaded or has enough meat to be threaded as I really like hunting with a suppressor.

Second, if you are looking for an excellent bullet to load, check out the 105 grain Cavity Back MKZ bullets. In my Grendel Encore barrel (24") I am just a bit over 2580 fps with it and it performs superbly on deer-sized game.

Sorry on the rings mess up. I wouldn't pay over about $90 eva! I like $40 rings personally. My wife wasn't too impressed come engagement time btw.

I like Warnes for the personal connection. Jack designed the original vertical split Maximas, which accomplish the same with one less part.... But, I think the Horizontals and Leupold PRWs are a great refinement.

Here's the Mini two stock deal.... $359.

Heck, they're down to 16 left. Better jump.

Wish it was threaded. It's their standard weight barrel. Anybody have a barrel measurement?

I'm thinking LRABs.... I really want to Grendel an elk, just because.... All giddy about them as I passed last go around.

Just ordered mine... been planning to for awhile. They're down to a baker's dozen in stock. I'd imagine they'll go pretty quick as the procrastinators like me jump in.

I’ve used the low Talley lightweight rings on a half dozen with complete satisfaction along with 2-8 Weaver GS scopes. They’re a little heavy but excellent glass for the money. Have the mini in 22, 6mm, and 6.5 Grendel and next up is a light 20 Grendel. Love these little rifles.

I thinned the stock on mine and made a flush fit mag. I like it much more gooder.

I came across this when looking for diameter of my #1. Go to Barreled Actions page. .570 for #2.
