WIfe and I looking at taking a trip for anniversary next spring.

Looking for things we have to do, where we should stay, etc...

Fairmont is pricey but is the iconic hotel in Banff.

Lake Jasper has seemingly one upscale hotel.

Love to hear from those that have been there.

I think the main difference between Banff and Jasper is that Banff is much busier and more of a 'tourist" type of destination. Jasper is quite a bit more laid back. What kind of activities are you looking to do?

Make sure and ride the gondolas at Jasper and Banff. Make sure you go to Lake Louise it has a gondola also. And you also need to stop by the Athabasca Glacier and take the tour out on the ice. There is also the Radium Hot Spring and Fairmont Hot Springs close proximity to those areas.

I prefer Jasper, but Banff is beautiful too. May as well drive to Radium and Fairmont as well.
