I have multiple 10mms of different makes; but, I haven't taken the leap yet on the XDM. I don't want this to be a debate about whether a Glock, Delta Elite, Sig, etc. is better. I know I can't control that; but, I would like input from those of you who have the XDM and have shot it. Drive on.

I've had a 5.25" XDm in 10mm for about 6 months now and I LOVE it! The only modification I did was to replace the factory recoil spring with a 22lb. Wolff. The mag springs are TIGHT when new, but have since become easier to load after leaving them loaded for a while. I've owned and carried Glocks for a living but never really cared for them. I've also owned 1911 style pistols but prefer the capacity of the XDm.

It has shot every factory and handload without fail including a very limited experiment of 40 S&W loads. Recoil with 180gr. loads in the 1150-1200fps range are a piece of cake. I also load the 180gr. Hornady XTP to 1300fps with Longshot as my woods load. That load is a little snappy, but not bad as I don't make a habit of shooting them. I keep it loaded with 180gr. Gold Dots loaded to 1150fps for in the house. Nothing but good things to report on the XDm 10mm.

My 10mm replaced a Ruger Redhawk in 44 mag. as my carry in the woods gun and I don't feel under gunned at all!

Hope this info helps you!

Have a 4.5" XDM in 10 MM and like it still on the Honeymoon stage, have Glock 20 also, think I prefer the XDM over the Glock, like the Grip Safety feature and loaded rd indicator.

One thing on the XDM 10 with 15 rds in mag, you have to push up on the bottom of the mag to get the mag release to work same with my buds XDM in 10?

So unloading and clearing a weapon with one in the chamber and 15 rds in mag be careful.

Following this conversation.

I've looked at the XDM but initially thought I wanted an all steel frame so drifted to 1911s. The marketing language on the XDM claims 10,000 rounds of 10mm fired without a FTF. They only maintenance was oiling and a recoil spring change. I'm reconsidering................

I have average hand size - the gun with 3 backstraps to change from small to large. How does the grip feel in relation to a Glock? How is the trigger?

it would matter what type of 10mm ammunition was fired 10,000 rounds of, much of it is no more than 40SW. If they said "fired 10,000 rounds of heavy 220 grain Buffalo Bore ammunition at average velocity of 1200FPS", and the gun was fine, then it would be something said, but to say the fired 10,000, well did they say what they fired 10,000 rounds of??

That's a really weak 40 S&W equivalent 10mm load. It's too bad that some of these companies like Springfield can't figure out that people buy a 10mm to shoot 10mm, not expensive 40 S&W Long.

This is a bit like if Ford (or whoever) bragged that their new pickup was tested to run for 50,000 miles without a load in the bed. It's pretty underwhelming.

That's what one of the comments said on that Youtube video.

I had the 5.25" XDM 10mm in my hands today. I have average size hands and it fit well. The trigger is typical 2 stage and not bad. I had it beside a Glock 40 and compared the two. The Glock wasn't too bad but the XDM had the better trigger in my opinion. Plus the Glock still feels like a 2x4 in my hands. The XDM comes with adjustable sight, fiber optic front. I didn't care for the rear sight but I'm sure someone makes an aftermarket sight. The XDM flt good in the hand empty but in my mind would feel better with a full belly. I'm still getting used to polymer frame pistols, they feel like plastic to me.

I shot my RIA 10mm this AM. I really like the trigger and shot it well out to 25 yards - I'm considering the doe tags in my pocket in a couple of weeks. I set a stand over the weekend in my normal spot. I normally get multiple opportunities at 10-20 yards. It likes Underwood 220 gr hard cast. They might have enough penetration at 20 yards <G>

I'm seriously thinking of selling my RIA 10mm and buying an XDM 10mm. I really like the idea of 15 in the belly vs 7+1 in the RIA. Plus the RIA weights 7-8 oz more than the XDM unloaded. With the extra capacity, they'd likely weigh the same fully loaded.

I also fondled the CZ P-10 9mm today. I'm likely going to own one of those soon as a house pistol.

I bought the 4.5" when they first come out. First time out I loaded 5 mags with a variety of loads and then tried mag dumps while limp wristing, holding on their side ganksta style change holds mid mag while firing etc. Not a single jam or failure of any type. My glock 20 sf would often fail to feed and was sensitive to limp wristing.

I sold the glock 20 this spring and bought another Xdm 10 with the threaded barrel, tall sights, and vortex venom on it. I still haven't shot the XDM's much but not a single failure so far. They're acurrate and fit my hand better than my g20 did.

After a little more testing an Xdm may spend some time with in bear areas instead of my 329pd. I never got to that level of confidence with my glock.

Would it just kill some of y'all to post up a pic sometimes? Some of us grew up on comic books instead of like, Shakesbeer Classics or some such.
