Got it a few days back. Trying out some odds and ends to sight in .Started to be erratic after I got it tuned when I changed brand of ammo. Opened the floor plate and back action screw fell out ! Hmmmm ,,tightened her up and shot a clover leaf.I quit for the day, Will load some Sierra #1365 soon.I like it !

Those are nice rifles. Is yours a 1-9" twist?

Sig ,it is. The trigger is fine as is out of the box !This is a handy rifle (won't reach for it if there is a bear in the chicken house ) but lots of rides and walks with this one .The wood is plain but I doubt it will be without some wounds as I own no safe Queens .Is that a Colorado deer ?

Wyoming Mule Deer. I have a LH 204 Ruger Hawkeye and have had my eyes open for a 223. The 1-9" twist will allow you to shoot the longer, heavier bullets if you choose.

True that, 1-9 opens up a lot of options. If I translate Stickese correctly, it will stabilize 75 Hornady HPBT's, we'll see.

Haven't tried a 75 in my LH .223, also a 1:9, but it does very well with 68 and 69 BTHP's from Hornady and Barnes.
Gunnery, gunnery, gunnery. Hit the target, all else is twaddle!

I've got some on the way, (thank you Midway free shipping). 69 Sierra BTHP showed promise with Benchmark on their first outing, 68 Hornady not so much, will try different powder; I bet something will work. Mine is a CZ not Ruger, btw.

I wonder what the trajectory difference is between the 55 gr sierra and the 65 gr (gamekings ) with published max loads

If you are looking for "paper" ballistic differences, you can work them up, here:

Thank you Orion, I will figure this out .I do not think I will be using any thing heavier than 65 Gr and I am a Sierra fan.
