Go to the cooking forum and ask for a fried chicken recipe. That's what we do on here when we have genital cancer. Good greasy diet cures 'th cansa'

Slummy,

I think you're about a quart low on grape drank.

Quit the Hawai'ian punch and get some Kool Aid.

Taters and maters for breakfast, along with an egg or two that are way past the expiration date on the carton.

Don't forget the raw burger.

Geno

PS, that bruising crap drives me nuts too. Manly men don't need it at all.

BS, got to be something else. Picking the campfire braintrust.

When I was 49 years old I had the same problem. Its caused by thin skin usually as a result of too much sun exposure.

If you have ever been on PRENISONE that will only make it worse.

So my turn to be serious. My dad had the bruising problem, VA checked him out thoroughly. Best they could come up with was a moisturizing cream with corticosteroid. They made it up in the pharmacy so they must of used a whole lot of it. His younger sister eventually developed the same thing with her doctors treating the same way. Dad took to wearing long sleeve shirts for some protection and to not scare small children. And yes, no blood thinners.

I'm 76 and have the same problem. Saw a VA podiatrist a few days ago and she told me heavy doses of vitamin C sometimes works .I've been taking 3 1000th daily for a week and there's a pretty good improvement. Don't know if it will fix the problem but it sure seems to be helping. BTW I'm taking Plavix, licinaprill and baby aspirin daily. --- Mel

My sister made arm guards for my dad out of some old blue jeans. She sewn in elastic in each end to hold them secure.
They worked well for his purpose, which was mostly yard work at the time.

Also, a welding supply store has lower arm guards that covers from the wrist to your elbow...

Well, I went to the doctor yesterday for the marrow biopsy results. The doc beat around the bush for about 30 minutes, and finally got to the point that I have a form of chronic leukemia. The next step is some chemotherapy and try to find a marrow donor. This is not going to be fun. If you have a bruising/bleeding problem get it checked out.

I will report back the results to you if you're interested in knowing. Could result in spleen removal.

Happened to me in 1996 and a friend a few years later.

For me, they tried Gammaglobulin infusions about 6 times, trying reset my immune system. DIdn’t work, so I got the splenectomy.

For my buddy, they tried him on steroids for a couple years. Worked but the side-effects were bad. He eventually got a splenectomy, too.

EDIT: didn’t read the whole thread before posting. Leukaemia sucks. Kick its ass.
