Looking through my ammo room I found a carton of PMC MODERATOR sub sonic 38g HP ammo that still has the price tag on the 500 round carton of $11.50 so it's been a while.
I can't remember shooting much of this stuff and have given away some of this ammo as well, but any experience with it? I'm going out soon to shoot some of it and see
Noise level compared to other sub sonic ammo at or around 1025 fps?
Penetration results with that HP ?

Those aguila CB's will dispatch a coyote at 25 yards or so so they should be NP for the squirrel population. They are also quieter than my pellet rifle. Nice to have a 22 that takes all ammo too.

We live on 5 acres in the country and have thousands of squirrels, not exaggerating, because the property is covered in Oaks and Hickories, it also butts up to over 100K acres of Federal reserve property. All the neighbors are on 2-3 acre lots. I have settled on Aquilla Super Colibri after trying every rimfire round listed above and then some because noise, richchetts, and over penetration which are my concern with close neighbors. I have a table just for one set up 20 yards from a sliding glass door and get almost silent one shot kills from a 24" barrel 99 % of the time. Kills coons just as one shot dead with good shot placement in the head. I shoot about a brick a month and have been for years. Aquilla makes two Colibris- Colibris @ 375 fps and Super Colibri @ 540 fps. I use the Supers most of the time on anything bigger than a chipmunk. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KX7...s3C346_Fe7H&index=79&app=desktop

CCI Quiet is some of the worst ammo I have ever found in my 4 rifles. The most accurate of which, is a Martini with a 36x Leupold. The worst rifle is a well worn, but soda can accurate Stevens Miserable Loader...in which I experienced 3 squibs, where the bullet stuck in the barrel. ( On the other hand, CCI Standard Velocity will almost compete with Eley Club.) Just buy one box, not a brick, and put it on paper.
Well this is a fine pickle we're in, should'a listened to Joe McCarthy and George Orwell I guess.

The Aguila Super Colibri’s work great, at least, under 15-20 yards. You’d need to try them to see if 30 yards is a stretch.
I have tried both the colibri and the Super colibri. The Super seems just as quiet, but has less chance of getting stuck in the barrel, and more oomph.
They have more of a “click” sound, while the CCI CB’s sound more like a nail gun or pellet rifle.
