I have a very decent #2 Rolling block that needs a barrel reline. Heard that nobody relines CF barrels. Any help out there.

Most any gunsmith worth the title should be able to reline that barrel.

the most expensive bullet there is isn't worth a plug nickel if it don't go where its supposed to.

Butch, if it doesn't work out with Mr Taylor, give Dennis Erhardt a call at Frontier Gunshop, Helena, MT

Butch, Appreciate you keeping us posted on progress and outcome.

Dumb question for all: Would a reline and rechamber to .32 H&R Mag work in that old Remington?

Man, I don't know. My bro in law has a 32 H&R mag in a pistol. I do like the round. I would just visit with the person that is doing the job.

Which begs the question, since Rollers have been factory chambered rounds in such rounds as the venerable 7x57, which has a SAAMI max of ~49,000psi vs. ~45,000psi for the .327, wouldn't it be safe to chamber one in .327 Federal Mag?

I have a little #4 RB in 22 RF. They also made this action in 32 Rim but I don't think the smaller action would hold up against those magnum rds if converted to Ctr Fire.

Bravo

Don, mine is a #2 centerfire already. I probably wouldn't use your rimfire and convert it to the 327

Is John Taylor taking any work in? Last time I contacted him he wasn't. Said he was full for the next year. I am looking to reline an old Winchester Model 94 in 38-55

John was too far out on time for my schedule. It is at Dennis Erhardt's shop. My initial feelings are very positive with Dennis.

I've been accused of mowing Tpost, stumps, and other things, but I will not get off my horse (tractor) to move the items.
I will keep you in the loop on Dennis.

Dennis called and sait it was done. I may have mentioned that he bushed and remachined the rolling block face and made a new firing pin for it. Hope to have it back in a couple weeks.

Mr. Lambert,
I have a Steven’s Favorite that needs action springs & maybe a couple of manufactured parts. Would your man Dennis, take that work in you think?

Was able to dig up three # 4’s at Tulsa this weekend. One is a beauty being it’s 84 years old. Two are great in their own right. You posting the picture of your 45-70 started me on a quest for one. Having never paid much attention to them as a single shot enthusiast, I can’t believe I have done myself such a disservice for so long. Now, I can’t turn one down hardly.

I tip my hat to you.

I can't answer for Dennis on this. When I did my Favorite I found an elderly gentleman in Grand Prairie, Texas that sold NOS Stevens parts. I need to search for his contact and put it close in hand. They are neat little rifles.

Basically a falling block .22. I am really excited about it. Very high quality.
