The Lord’s Day after Inauguration Day 2001 my wife and I found “our” congregation of our Lord’s Church. Not long after I met and got to be very close friends with a guy who has now been there for the birth of my youngest three children, through the loss of both my parents, and all the difficult and wonderful aspects of life since. We started hunting together maybe 10 years ago and he has managed to shoot a lot of does but no bucks. ![[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]](https://i.postimg.cc/jqgQkfBW/F6-F417-D4-088-B-494-E-A2-F8-181-E59315463.jpg) Tomorrow morning we’re leaving to see his youngest son play football at Indiana Wesleyan at noon then headed to the Black Hills of South Dakota where we’re gonna get him a nice buck and have ourselves an incredible experience! I bought a couple Padron Anniversarios to smoke in celebration of his success; I haven’t smoked one of those since I was given my youngest son who is now almost 15! I’ve been hounding Jim for years to come do this... he has preference points in Wyoming & South Dakota. I think this’ll get him hooked if he isn’t already. Dutchmen don’t part with that kind of dollars without being pretty darned serious! I’m planning to update this daily. Keep us in your prayers as we travel!

Good hunting. Have a safe trip. We visited the Black Hills this past summer for my first time. I love it there. Like a slice of the Rocky Mountains. Beautiful area.

Thanks guys! Unfortunately IWU lost to Marion who was ranked #2 in the nation 21. Great game tho. Stayed in Rapid City once. Got up theat next morning and a nice Mulie Buck was standing in the Motel parking lot.

Made it safely JUST before weather got super sporty and cars we’re sliding off all over on 90.
Did a little scouting but conditions are rough weather wise as well as for us after driving basically since early yesterday morning so we’re checking into cabin and have solid game plan for EARLY morning and then all day when weather should really be great for bringing them out!

We just pulled into our drive way.
Our second trip to Colorado for this fall is in the books with a trip to North Missouri this Thursday and then Oklahoma the next Thursday.
I use to love big road trips and pounding out lots of trips but Im getting older.
