My step dad just turned 80 and says it's the real deal.

You're getting on when pains start showing up when you haven't done anything to earn them. Something just starts to hurt.

How old is really old?
My uncle used to say:
“You know you’re old when all your kids are retired.”

I'm 69. I see people that are my age, and some of them look almost 80. When you get past 50 or so, some people begin to age faster than others, maybe because of genetics, or their lifestyle. I think I'm old sometimes, then I see someone that really looks old and acts it as well, and I realize I'm not as old as I thought I was.

I am past 73, and was recently asked if I wanted to join the new multi million dollar Senior Center the City built. I declined, saying I hate to be around all those damn old people.

I know all about this, knee is hurting some, shoulder was, no end to it now!

I’ll be 70 this December, I don’t feel that old, except for in the morning, or after a long car ride, and walking down hill. Any body else have that problem?

75 two days ago. Mind is crisp, body not so much. New knee, fused spine, balance issues from a bout with anaphylactic shock a few years back but can still find a lot of things to enjoy involving faith, family, friends, and trying to maintain my "top five" standing in two trap clubs.

My wife and I just entered the "fourth quarter" of our lives this past summer; me in August and her in October. We both agree that the abrupt change in seasons is one of the reasons for a happy life. And a happy life means a longer life.

Deer season(gun) comes up this coming weekend and both of us plan one being out there among the throng of shooters. We may just shoot them off the deck but that is way too easy. None the less, it won't be too far from access to a road, these fat Mo deer are getting larger by the day.

We look to be around another ten, fifteen years if our health permits. My grandmother lived past 100 and grandpa(s) past 90. Other grandmother passed in 1911 from peritonitis brought on by childbirth.

If you can get there, Seventy Five is a neat age!

Myself? I'm not old....just that I feel like I have some high miles for my age...

The younger ya are, the less tolerance I have for someone telling me I'm old...

My normal response to them is usually.... " if ya ever want to see my age, ya better STFU about what is being old"....

Old is when ya need a walker, help getting off the toilet, and can't wack some smartass young punk up side the head anymore,
when I hit that point, will the Good Lord please take me out of circulation...

I'll be 60 in February. I go to the local YMCA 5 days a week. 30 minutes on the elliptical followed by weight training. I weighed 223lbs yesterday down from 292 in 2012. I feel better than I did when I was 40. I'm going in the grave kicking and screaming good Lord willing.
