When the weather is cooler, I like to get out in the mountains and spend the morning scouting for deer or elk and the rest of the day calling coyotes. However, right now (its pretty hot down here already), i find myself getting lost in my "play room". In one corner, I can reload some hunting loads for the fall as well as a few "loads in development" . In another corner, I can sit at my fly tying desk with a stiff 7&7 and whip out a couple of dozen bugs for my upcoming summer trip to Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho. Finally, if none of that appeals to me, I have this computer in the same room and I can surf away endless hours. ahh... my time out room. Couldn't live without it.

Charlie, is that 6.5x55 big enough to hunt beautiful Mexican women? What bullet do you recommend? Do you spot and stalk, or bait them with a picture of Ricki Martin? I bet you chum them with promises of marriage. Let me know what bullet I should use when I come down there. Oh, and where do you shoot them?Flinch

Charlie you sure hit on my two weaknesses, fine rifles and beautiful Mexican women! I still have the rifles, but before I married my wife of 25 years I had one of the other. Ah the memories! Every time I visit Mexico I fall in love several times a day. Paul39

Stick, I have not had to many good days off this past week, I'm taking a weeks vacation but it's been a bummer losing my dog and all. So I took some time to build a rifle, inletted a Mex Mauser into a fair hunk of walnut. capped the forend with a piece of cocobolo(sp) made up a pistol grip cap out of same and inletted a head of a 7x57 brass in the center. Now to sand and finish. I also shot a couple rolls of film on a small Elk herd not far from here. I have lots of film to get developed. Need a really good digital camera. Oh yeah I did up five pounds of jerky. Sure miss that darn dog, she liked my jerky.

I too would have to say the time I spend here is part and parcel of my Therapy, that and spending time with my Daughter and going to the range, which unfortunetly does not happen much these days.
And I guess I would have to say sometimes even the odd day at work with the guys has its light moments and we can laugh and joke a bit.

Pretty much like most here I like my "thereapy" sessions on the range, just banging away at some paper or doing some serious load developement/testing. I usually bring about 2 rifles.

I also have my computer in my Loading room. Just to get away I will load up some "tester" bullets and powder combo's for the "rifle of the month".

PAYPAL, sucks and I will never use them again. I recommend you do the same.

Consider how times have changed. Many are no longer with us, and some have done a 180 degree personality shift. Yet another reminder that change is inevitable.

RE: Therapy!

When suffering the pangs of SDD (shooting deficit disorder), I find that the best therapy is to go forth and draw blood!

I read Stick's initial post, thought his account had been hijacked.

Then saw the date.

Always enjoyed his posts.

The fact you even have a therapist tells me everything I need to know about you.
